Publisher's Summary

The hotly anticipated third audiobook in the best-selling Bone Season series - a groundbreaking dystopian fantasy of extraordinary imagination.

Following a bloody battle against foes on every side, Paige Mahoney has risen to the dangerous position of Underqueen, ruling over London's criminal population.

But having turned her back on Jaxon Hall, and with vengeful enemies still at large, the task of stabilising the fractured underworld has never seemed so challenging.

Little does Paige know that her reign may be cut short by the introduction of Senshield, a deadly technology that spells doom for the clairvoyant community and the world as they know it.

‘‘Twas a battle

Book three, the Song Rising.
A compelling tale of Page Mahoney, a continuity of journey.
Personally I’ll say this book was not as good as the first two books in this series. It started to pick up during the last a bit however, it wasn’t as blanket grabbing and howling at the shocking moments as the first one. I remember the fist book so vividly it was so powerful, shocking, and just so brilliantly unique. The third book I understand is an important piece to the tale of Page Mahoney, was it worth the read? Sure, to understand where it’s all leading to but.... I wish it was shorter and just straight to the point. At times I felt dragged on and lost in the narrative, not in a good way! I’m definitely going to take a large brake from the series for now. 3/5 stars. The audio performance is pretty good quality though!
