About this listen

Dr. Ruth Galloway returns to North Norfolk in her latest chilling adventure. DCI Nelson has been receiving threatening letters. They are anonymous yet somehow familiar. They read like the letters that first drew him into the case of the Crossing Places and to Ruth.

But the author of those letters is dead. Or are they?

The past is reaching out for Ruth and Nelson, and its grip is deadly.

I've been listening to the series and have enjoyed all the books. I feel like I know the characters and enjoy the lives and the relationships between all the characters.

As always, a great story

Fantastic Ruth Galloway Mystery

For me, the mostly flat tone of the narrator made it difficult for me to recognize the different characters. There were a lot of characters that were often interrelated but I never got to know any of them well.

Difficult to follow

Another excellent Ruth Galloway mystery! Griffiths’ characters are so well drawn. The narration is spot on.

Does not disappoint!

I did not guess the solution to the mystery in this well crafted story. I have been reading the Ruth Galloway mysteries with great enthusiasm and realizing sadly that I only have a few left in the series. This series has ticked all my boxes and this one was particularly strong with the continuing romance between Ruth and Nelson and the important side characters feeling like old friends.

Great story
