THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

Starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews * Publishers Weekly * Library Journal

Named a “Must-Read” by TODAY, Us Weekly, Bustle, BuzzFeed, Goodreads, Entertainment Weekly, Publishers Weekly, Southern Living, Book Riot, Woman’s Day, The Toronto Star, and more!

For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies.

Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion...she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas.

Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there’s a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is...Olive doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

With Christina Lauren’s “uniquely hilarious and touching voice” (Entertainment Weekly), The Unhoneymooners is a romance for anyone who has ever felt unlucky in love.

Meh

Really wish the narrator was a woman and a man instead of the guy sounding like a prepubescent teen. The story was meh, alright. Prefer her Beautiful Bastard series.

Narration

I heard about this book after finishing “The Hating Game” I’m not really a fan of the ‘fake relationship to real relationship’ trope which is why it took me awhile to decide on trying it out, but I enjoyed this audio book a lot. I think I would of enjoyed this book more if I read it myself then listened. Cynthia Farrell was great I just didn’t like the way she made Ethan sound. He sounded like an old, frat dude. It fit Dan’s character perfectly, but it was hard to ignore it whenever Ethan would start talking. I pictured Ethan to have a much more deeper, sultry voice and I know that it would be a little difficult for a woman to portray what I wanted to head, but I just wished that he sounded a little more manly and a lot less frat boy. Overall, great audio book. Happy that I decided to try it out^^

Loved This Romance Story

Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion...she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man, Ethan Thomas, her future brother in law brother.

But the weird thing is, Olive doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

They realize that Ethan's brother told them lies about each other to keep them apart, but it is his loyalty to his brother that breaks her heart. Will he realize that she is telling the truth, and when he realizes it, is it too late for her to forgive him? Can he win her back?

Such boring book

It just dragged on and on. If I had no compulsion of having to finish, I would have let it go after reading ten pages.

Ok

I would recommend this for youth/very young adult. Kind of a repeat of similar/like books. Parts were funny and had me laughing.
