Excellent read

This has helped me tremendously in understanding the male mind and their behavior. I was able to identify many unhealthy patterns that led to the demise of my 2nd marriage. I will take everything from this book to heart and be mindful how I am practicing the tips and strategies to build a successful relationship in the future. Although Shawn is specific about the concepts largely being generalizations I feel less anxious overall about my current relationship issue and feel like I understand my boyfriend much better. Now begins the work. Enjoy! And excellent read for any man or woman who wants to get the most out of their relationship and create a happy healthy connection.

Has some good ideas and information

Shawn did explain that generalizations and stereotypes are inevitable when writing this type of book, but I still found the depiction of men to be quite foreign to my own experience as one. I'm sure there are a lot of guys out there who feel afraid of talking to women or who are just obedient dog types looking for the next pat on the head, but I've just never been that type. That being said, there's still tons of good information on how to communicate and solve problems, and I still took lots of notes on how to improve communication in relationships. Just remember the book is directed toward women and generally assumes that men are simple dog-like types, which may not be true at all from person to person.
