Publisher's Summary

What is authentic Kabbalah? What did the Chassidic teachings innovate? Finally, a book that introduces and explains the most basic precepts of this ancient wisdom, in a practical, user-friendly way. Through the 32 Gates of awareness, from The Infinite Source of all life - to finite, immediate creation, Rav Pinson guides us along the map of creation and existence according to the deeper teachings of Torah.

Words and concepts that are often confusing and esoteric - such as; the Ten Sefiros, Ein Sof, Tzimtzum and the various Names of the Divine - are demystified in this text, offering us a true gateway into a higher awareness and a more fulfilling existence.

Each chapter is a gate to be opened and explored, and concludes with an affirmation that allows the listener to internalize the knowledge so it becomes understandable, relatable, and transformational.

One of the Best Kabbalah Intros in English

This is perhaps one of the best introductions to proper Kabbalah that you are likely to find on any major website. If you have been studying this subject for less than 5 years, And especially if you don't have a proper teacher, this book should be considered a requirement.

This book functions in a way much similar to a University survey course. You get a broad view of every major point of entry into Jewish Kabbalah, even entering into deeper often skipped topics. This can serve as a valuable foundation for people new to the area of study, and for those who have some very learning or are beginners it can function as an invaluable way to organize everything you've learned, and in many cases see how certain parts of the Kabbalah interact.

Perhaps not for everyone but anyone who is interested in the more mysterious parts of Torah study should definitely read this book. The only downside is, due to its shorter length and broader scope, there remains much to study—and this should encourage us to do so. I recommend Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh, and of course Rav DovBer Pinson as authors to look for if you find yourself in need of more in this topic.
