Repetitive lines.

The reader is constantly reminded that the principle character is a vet tech and small business owner,, this reader does not need these constant reminders. It is very annoying and is off putting.

Doggy kidnapping

A pretty good mystery well narrated but the danger loving star needs a personality transplant to make her anything like believable.

A good base

The book has a good story. Its a bit long and wordy. Some things are overly explained. Some people love or need all of the extra details.

Murder mystery for dog lovers

This author writes in a very thorough style. Everything is described. l quite enjoyed the murder solving and l didn't guess the culprit even though l had a few ideas of my own. The narrator has a lovely voice.

Dumbest yet

The author knows very little about her subject. The plot is so thin you could read the book through it.

a mixed bag

the plot is good did reasonably well developed, the characters are likable, and the performer does a good job. the problem is the writing style. it's way too heavy on narration, and the dialogue is sketchy and underdeveloped. the author also repeatedly summarizes the same material rather than allowing the characters to show us through dialogue what's going on. the best description I could think of for the writing is adolescent. I think there's good potential here, but it needs some good editing and perhaps some study of narrative writing as opposed to exposition.

Just can't

I thought I would listen to this since I got the first book in this series but I couldn't. Everything thought is thoroughly explained and then spoken. For me, that makes for tedious listening.
