I've found myself very involved and intrigued by the story and characters so far. it's a cool integration of game based worlds and reality so far and the explanations at times seem long and drawn out but are very nessarary to the evolving story.

Upset it ended and i don't listen to fiction.

it's been something great to listen to a work. I like books with great stories and this one has to do with magic and time travel and some mostly crazy off the hook madness.

Story:
MC starts as a talented magic user, but emotionally damaged - a bit cliche but a decent start though her tendency to get easily interrupted erks me sometimes.

Performance:

While the core story is fine, the characters are somewhat inconsistent. Alexis tends bounce back and forth between anger, blame, depression, and fascination with anything. The writing seems more focused on alliteration than on character dev and believable interactions. One moment, Alexis has never spoken to her neighbors, the next she knows that they have always been into survival. Pages are wasted discussing intent which never goes anywhere. One moment it is misting, the next Alexis is wading through rivers? Lean less into prose and more into consistency of character and progression in story.
