Publisher's Summary

In the next installment of the New York Times best-selling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the king of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica - the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both - and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

Good for what it was

Did Chaol deserve a book to himself? Probably not. Regardless it was still good but left me wondering plenty of times when they were going to cut to what's happening to Aelin.

I also find Elizabeth coupling everyone off very annoying.

Tough turn but worth it

This is my least favourite of the series, strictly because of the divergence in protagonist/perspective, however I found it integral to the story development.

Chaol is back!!

This book is perfect. Brings so many pieces together and allows for such great character development. Missed my guy Chaol so much and this was worth the wait.

Best narrator

Love this series and especially LOVE the narration done by Elizabeth Evans. I would listen to any series she narrates just because she does such a great job.

wasn't expected

The narrotor, awkward at first then I got used to it. I've read all the books but this one so it may have been my own stigma that got in the way. once i got used to the narrator i loved it.
