Publisher's Summary

A Sunday Times best seller.

The ninth gripping thriller in the classic Dirk Pitt series, where the adventurer finds himself in a deadly battle against the darkest forces of international terrorism.

On behalf of a grateful nation I wish to thank you for this astonishing gift....

The President of the United States had reason to be grateful. Dirk Pitt had unearthed the greatest storehouse of knowledge in the ancient world: the Alexandria Library.

The trail began in a lonely fjord in Greenland. It ended on the banks of the Rio Grande. In between Pitt had frustrated an assassination, rescued a hijacked liner, survived a deadly gun battle and halted an invasion.

A gripping, action-packed story by a master of the craft.

More continuing fast paced story

Full of exciting action and danger. It's non stop danger. The reader Scott Brick is great in this role. Gotta keep reading.

?? treasure

a book named treasure that discusses treasure for about 1% of the time. Not being from the U.S. I found this to be not for me.

Great Listen

Another Cussler masterpiece. Even though one always understands that Dirk will triumph, suspense reigns supreme throughout the text. I really appreciate Cussler’s ability to keep his audience on the edge of their seats for the 16 hours it takes to listen to the book. They certainly do a great job of keeping me awake on long road trips!

riveting action book

Great action sets and scenes keeping you on the edge the whole time. Only drawback was the finding of the treasure was on the back burner being found by a computer for the most part.

The excessice profanity was not needed.

I love all Clive's books. But this is one you can not listen to with kids in the car. I was really surprised . His books are usually clean . There are a few of us that have not accepted profamity as normal comminication. I hope he drops the bad language.

RIP Clive Cussler

One of CC best novels. Right up there with Inca Gold, Sahara, and Raise The Titanic.

Wow, what a story!

I've read this book, and all Cussler Classics, many-many times ove the last 20 some odd years; quite refreshing to hear it! I put these on in the background while I'm remodeling houses, and have to say that it makes the work glide by.
Cussler is a master at spinning tales of intrigue with historical what-ifs mixed in; Treasure, Sahara, Inca Gold, Deep Six... just incredible!
Narration was great too! I swear the guy sounded like Kelsey Grammar though.

Far fetched plot

Like most Dirk Pitt novels, finding the Alexandria Library is far fetched but doesn’t detract from the excitement of trying to figure out how Dirk & Al will save the day & themselves. Scott Brick is my favorite narrator.

Awesome

Loved it! It had me guessing chapter after chapter as what was going to happen next and how Dirk was going to figure a way out of any situation.
Scott Brick has the ability to narrate any of Clive Cussler books with clarity and emotion that draws you into each character.

English?

Great story, but wasn't Cluve Cussler born in Aurora, Il? Why use so much British/Metric nomenclature?
