Publisher's Summary

Trigger

Tess was under the Devil’s watch while I suffered behind bars with my demons....

The ace in my pocket brings power, and the temptation to flip overwhelms me.

I’m playing chicken with the reaper, and it’s only feeding his thirst.

The smell of blood is a drug. It fuels me. Consumes me.

I am lost.

Tess

The Devil stole me, but I refuse to belong to someone else.

I’m a fighter.

I will do whatever it takes to get back to my family.

Treachery and betrayal surround us.

The only way out is to turn the greatest loss into the greatest victory.

OMG! I've Never Fallen So Hard For A Book Couple!

I love dark, gritty romances with violence, flawed/scarred/strong characters & steamy sex. This met ALL my requirements! Trigger is the ultimate bearded, tattooed, strong, sexy, dominating alpha male. Tess is amazing, She is fearless, and full of fire & witty humor. No shrinking violets here! They both have their own demons and haunting childhoods of abuse and exploitation. I love how Tess wasn't a goodie two shoes who shied away from blood/violence. She's a fighter, strong as hell, and takes no shit (even in a man's biker world). I don't think I've ever connected more with a female lead character in a romance. The pace of the books was great, with plenty going on to keep you interested and side characters that grow on you like old friends. The dual narrators were the perfect cherry on top to make it all come alive. This just became my favorite trilogy, and I'm hoping that this isn't the end for Trigger & Tess. No lie, I listened to the entire series in about 4 days! Please, please do more Trigger & Tess stories!!

good tie up

I have a new favorite narration duo! Goff and Glennox are astounding! I like the pacing of this book, I was worried how it would tie up all the plots but it was really good. The thing that was a bit irritating was the hopping into flashbacks, it can be really confusing if it's not mentioned. Also the trying to make everything"I'm dark and edgy and have demons blahblahblah" got boring in book 1...

"Bye Felicia!"

This was sooo good. Everything you want to hear from Trigger, Tess, and "Father Allen". I was completely satisfied. Some of my favorites died in this one but there are always casualties when at war. The narrators were great as always! I could listen to this series again, again, and again. Thanks J. L.

🌻just as violent as part one and two but has a HEA🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 All the major conflicts finally get resolved in this part of the trilogy. Tess and Trigger have a few rough patches, with their relationship but, they do sort through it all. Be aware that there is just as much brutality in this book; including more violence against children. This is a well written trilogy and I missed sleep listening to the entirety, 24+ hours, in 1 1/2 days; I had to find out what was going to happen. As I have referred to before, this story shows the ugliest side of human nature. With that being said, there is an underlying beauty in the way that Tess is able to bring a little light to Trigger’s life.

loved it.

I'm very Much into the dark side of my men, the bad boy, the demons, but the ultimate passion for his lady. Trigger for me is that all wrapped up in one. When i finished a series that gets to me like this one, I kinda get a depression when it's finished. I want to keep following Trigger and Tess's story. I'm sad to be finished.

Outstanding

An adrenaline fueled, wild, and dark journey to go on with Tess and Trigger. This series has been one of the best I have ever read. Each book left me breathless. Trigger was the first book I had the pleasure to devour by J.L. Drake; I am now a fan. Simply outstanding!

Could not hit pause for the life of me.

Loved this series.. Narrators were great. There are a few audio issues like the volume going down or a few lines being repeated, but was not so often it took from the story. Absolutely loved the poem at the end read by Trigger.

outstanding

The perfect ending to this series and the beginning to Tess and Trigger's life. This gritty trilogy isn't a sweet romance although there are true moments of sweetness. I laughed, cried, and had to leash my own demons on occasion. This is a series that I'll go back and listen to again.
