Great book overall, but narrators male voice ruins this whole book. It sounds ridiculous like a creepy old man.
Performance of FMC is really good but other voices are very poor.

This brought out all the feels in me! I should have been prepared, I know this authour can reach deep into your soul, but I wasn’t, and along with the laughs, the tears nearly broke me at times. Finnie and Frey couldn’t have been more unevenly matched, but being with them as they sorted through things, that was simply perfect. This is fantasy, it is the fantastical series, after all, but it is beyond that. It is real life in a setting that is made up of the stuff of dreams. There is heartache, there is fun, there is love, there are enemies, and there are two people who fall so deeply in love with each other, nothing, not even themselves, can keep them apart <3

I enjoyed the characters and story, but the author used term "freaking" way too freaking often.

The author has created a sexist alternate universe with a often drippy heroine who is in love with a dominating man, who she won't have sex with because she is shy and she is afraid of him because he is violent. Nasty dominance fantasy. Not my cup of tea. The descriptions of the clothing, china and unidimensionally cute medieval villages appear to be an attempt to cover for a lack of any story line. I returned this one.
