Publisher's Summary

Fighting fate isn’t for the weak.

Cait
I am many things, but a supernatural being is not one of them. At least until a crescent mark appears on my wrist and everything changes. I’ve been marked by a wolf goddess, yet no one knows what that means, myself included.

On top of that, I find out my best friend is a werewolf and her pack alpha is my supposed mate. Just like that my future is decided - unless I find a way out.

Roman
When fate sends a human mate my way, I’m certain it has to be a mistake. An alpha is supposed to have an equal at his side. Cait might be strong in her own ways, but what she is makes her an easy target in my world.

Regardless, Cait is mine to protect and I have every intention of showing her this is where she belongs - in my pack, by my side.

This is a dual POV wolf shifter series narrated with duet voices. It features a strong willed, not-so-human leading lady, and a fierce yet loyal alpha who is determined to win her heart - no matter how many times she might reject him. If you love books by Leia Stone, Heather Hildenbrand, and Patricia Briggs, then be ready to devour this new series!

Sensual and steamy

This book had me binge listening as the intensity of the relationship grew!! I recommend not listen to this in public places !😉

Awesome Story

Love the story and how it’s told from both perspectives. Great narrators. They bring the story to life and it’s easy to visualize.

Do not waste your money.

It reads like a Trump speech.

The MC female lead... She's not consistently anything. While in some better written books this might signify character growth, here its just a series of contrivances to yank the story out of the many ruts it likes to wallow in.

The "Best Friend" dosn't care a wink about the MC, BFF is far more concerned with making the MC into someone who will fit into BFF life.

The wise woman is a text book gatekeeping boomer, who the author tries to make come off as a quirky old hermit genius. Instead she come off as an antagonist.

The male lead's "Wolf Spirit" are creepy in that the wolf side has lived several lives before but acts like it's a newly manifested entity seeming ignorant of the world and the beings in it.

The male lead himself suffers from a Katy Perry level of Hot N Cold. Smart one moment and then "wolf instincts" (these somehow not linked to the "wolf spirit" in him, suddenly makes him do a contrived caveman act. He's openly speciest (views humans as a lower life-form) to start and it would have actually been a better story mechanic if this went away as soon as the book jacket promise is met.

Outside of "fated mate instinct" and "bio-chemistry hacking" the main couple has no chemistry.
I was squicked out by their intimate moments that read more like the "wolf goddess" and male lead, were para-psyco-pseudo forcing her.

I'm sorry I bought the first book and will be very cautious before I give any other of the author's works.

I'd say to the author, there may be good bones in this polluted swamp of a story, but you need to work on pacing, flow and character motivations.
