Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Diana Palmer is back in Wyoming with a tale of love born in Big Sky Country....

Billionaire oilman Blair Coleman has always taken care of his business. After having been used and cast aside by a woman he thought he loved, his personal life is far from his first priority. He knows only one has ever truly cared for him - but the irresistible blonde beauty is the daughter of his best friend.

Niki Ashton has seen her father's friend wounded, and she's seen him fight. Blair is the strongest - and most stubborn - man she's ever known. That very heart and passion makes him the man of her dreams, but whenever they've been in danger of getting close, Blair has always pushed her away.

It takes a possible tragedy to strip away all of Blair's misgivings. Now it's all or nothing: marriage, baby, family, forever. But will the choice be too much for Niki...or too late?

Review

I think the books plot was good. The character of Nicky was not believable. I don't think any young lady of our time period could have been so naive about everything. Also there were to many inmate scene after which she was supposed to still be totally clueless about sex. I think that this character should have been made to appear like the young adult she is and not a child. Also the character of Blaire needs a lot of tweaking as well.

Weak story

Not one of my favorite D.P. Stories, although narration kept me listening.
Abridged book should be ordered.

Meh

I didn't like that he was looking for a woman that look like his mother. It feels weird every time that it was mention thru the story. It made me thing of Bates Motel lolol. Overall it was an Ok story...It didn't have that much plot.

Couldn't even finish this one

Every person, except the housekeeper, in this book needs a shrink. The hero married a women because she looked like his mother...eewwww!!!! A 19 year old and a 35 yr old... Ah, not feeling that either. Palmer tossed around suicide attempts and threats like confetti. Couldn't stand the hero. He was a real piece if work. One minute lover the next mean jerk punishing the heroine for his attraction to her. I gave this book almost until the end to redeem itself and it just never did. I finally gave up and quit. I've followed Palmer for years. Don't if her writing is changing or my tastes so my apologies to Palmer fans if I'm off base on this one.

Best Narrator ever, Phil Gigante!!!

Would you try another book from Diana Palmer and/or Phil Gigante?

yes

Would you ever listen to anything by Diana Palmer again?

yes

Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Phil Gigante is FANTASTIC, one of my favorite narrators ever. I read books narrated by him just so I can enjoy his performances.

Do you think Wyoming Rugged needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I'm furious with being jerked around by this story line, so incredibly frustrating, I'm tempted to stop reading without finishing but of course I can't do that.
