  • Can Bonnie Critchley Beat Pierre Poilievre in Battleriver-Crowfoot By-Election Aug 18? 🇨🇦
    Jul 18 2025

The stakes have never been higher for the people of Battleriver-Crowfoot and for the future of Canadian politics. With an August 18 by-election looming in Alberta’s conservative heartland, local independent candidate Bonnie Critchley is taking a stand for her neighbours against Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre, who has parachuted into the riding in hopes of getting a seat back in Parliament after being beaten in the election by Bruce Fanjoy in his Ottawa area riding of Carleton. As a retired combat veteran and horse breeder, Bonnie has built a centrist platform to represent the people of her home riding and unpacks her policies on the podcast.

In a candid and straightforward interview, Bonnie addresses gun control, climate change, Alberta separation, the notion of becoming the 51st state, anger at Ottawa, human rights and speaks out against the Long Ballot Initiative protest in the by-election.

Bonnie believes in Canadian unity and the importance of engaging with one another, despite our differences. She challenges not just Poilievre, but also Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and the destructive influences of the Trump regime.

This is a call to action for voters who are tired of politics as usual, seeking a leader with integrity who will prioritize the community's needs over party lines. Join Bonnie Critchley in her fight for a better Alberta and a stronger Canada.

A new conflict in the Middle East, Russia intensifies its aggression in Ukraine, and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepens. • THE OSHOW WITH LAURA BABCOCK: Former Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne Answers 'Why is Ford's Bill 5 so BAD for Canada?'
    May 29 2025

We are at a critical juncture in Canada as Premier Doug Ford's 'Big Bad Bill 5' threatens to undermine our democratic values and rights. This legislation disregards the fundamental right of First Nations to consult, introduces ambiguous "economic zones" that could aggressively circumvent environmental and labour protections, and may endanger vulnerable communities and species.

We can't afford to stand by while this bold, Trump-like power grab unfolds. Former Premier Kathleen Wynne joins host Laura Babcock in a robust discussion on the real dangers posed by Bill 5. It's a direct attack on the laws and rights that safeguard Ontario and Canada’s future.

But there's still time to take a stand! We must unite to oppose this threat to our democracy. The implications are far-reaching, extending beyond Bill 5 itself. We also need to confront ongoing issues, such as Ford's Greenbelt Scandal and the betrayal of public trust through a series of dubious deals, including Ontario Place, the Science Centre and the LCBO, which have squandered billions of taxpayer dollars.

This is our call to action! Get involved, raise your voice, and stand up for our rights and our democracy. The vote on Bill 5 is scheduled for Monday—let's ensure your concerns are heard loud and clear by contacting Ontario MPPs and the Premier's Office. Please share this video, your thoughts, and don’t forget to like and subscribe. Together, we can build a strong, pro-democracy community and protect the future we deserve!
