Dieci fiabe famose per ragazzi. C'era una volta una scrittrice che nel tempo libero raccontava le fiabe ai suoi figli, e agli amici dei suoi figli, poi ai figli delle sue amiche, e finalmente alle nipoti e ai nipoti, quando la scrittrice è diventata zia. Non erano storie inventate da lei, ma fiabe classiche, molto antiche, alcune imparate da bambina grazie a una zia fiorentina, molte altre scoperte nei libri. Quarto della serie di "Piccole donne", troviamo qui tutti i protagonisti di "Piccoli uomini" dopo dieci anni, alle prese con la vita reale, i primi amori e gli impegni di lavoro, le tentazioni e le decisioni sui propri progetti di vita. E l'autrice ci fa dire, dalla bocca di Jo, diventata scrittrice di successo che questo sarà l'ultimo sequel che scrive per accontentare i suoi giovani lettori, avidi di storie. Purtroppo per noi, che con rimpianto concluderemo queste semplici storie di vita in cui le avventure del cuore sono più emozionanti dei combattimenti di cappa e spada.

Black Beauty oder Activity?

Darky, ein vierjähriger schwarzer Hengst, gewinnt als Zweitpferd das "1000-Meilen-Rennen", das zwischen den Ost- und Weststaaten ausgetragen wird und über die Strecke von Nebraska nach Illinois führt. Doc Middleton, der Besitzer des Pferdes, erhält Höchstangebote. Er verkauft Darky an Larry Fuller, der für Mr. Gordon, einen Interessenten in England, seit Langem ein solches Rassepferd sucht. Und so tritt der junge Hengst die große Reise über den Atlantik an.
