Knox hat eine Zeitmaschine erfunden, die noch nicht ganz ausgereift ist. Bis Fix und Foxi ein altes Pergament entdecken, das in der Gitarre versteckt ist: die Besitzurkunde von Schloss Gruselstein! Dummerweise ist Lupo nicht der Einzige, der Anspruch auf das Schloss erhebt.

Knox' neueste Erfindung war sicherlich gut gemeint. Aber musste Lupo denn gleich die ganze Flasche über den vertrockneten Tomatenstrauch schütten?

Das Ergebnis ist jedenfalls verheerend: Tomatilla, wie sich die Monsterpflanze nennt, wächst Lupo, Fix, Foxi und Onkel Fax buchstäblich über den Kopf. Und sie entwickelt ein höchst gefährliches Eigenleben!
