Die Abenteurergilde schärft die Klingen, trainiert und kultiviert. Sie wappnet sich für einen Krieg–denn die Vereinigung der Mutwilligen soll ernten, was sie gesät hat.

Nach der Eroberung und Verteidigung Vuzgals haben Erik und Rugrat eine neue Aufgabe zu bewältigen – die Errichtung einer Stadt. Bisher sind sie förmlich durch die Reiche gerast, aber Vuzgal ist ein Preis, den sie nicht einfach aufgeben können. Alva wird ebenso mobilisiert wie ihre Verbündeten, um die neue Stadt aufzubauen. Es ist an der Zeit, ihre Gewinne zu festigen und an ihren Handwerken, ihren Kampffähigkeiten und ihrer Kultivierung zu arbeiten.

Bei der Ankunft in den Zehn Reichen hatten Erik und Rugrat noch keine Ahnung, was vor sich ging. Sie wussten nur, dass sie sich mit dem Zwei-Wochen-Fluch angesteckt hatten. Bald lernten sie ihre Charakterübersichten und einen Teil des Systems kennen, das Zehn Reiche genannt wird. Ein Ort, an dem die Starken die Regeln aufstellen und sich die Schwachen in der Hoffnung daran klammern, beschützt und in Ruhe gelassen zu werden.

Das Reich der Schlachtfelder–ein Reich, in dem Sekten aufsteigen und zerfallen. In dem der Boden unter den Füßen von Kämpfern aus höheren Reichen erzittert. In dem es Reichtümer zu holen gibt und in dem Imperien untergehen. Dorthin müssen Erik und Rugrat, wenn sie ihre Stärke und die von Alva erhöhen wollen. Es heißt, das Glück sei mit den Mutigen. So ist es in den Zehn Reichen. Die Beute geht an den Sieger. Das Vierte Reich wird ihr Leben verändern ... oder beenden

Das Dritte Reich wirft neue Herausforderungen auf. Erik sucht nach dem alten Hei, während sich Rugrat mit seinem beschädigten Mana-System auseinandersetzt. Beide führt der Weg zur Prüfung des Alchemistenverbands. Beide hatten ehrlich nicht vor, sich Ärger einzuhandeln doch er scheint sie in den Zehn Reichen regelrecht zu verfolgen. Sie müssen sich erst durch das Dritte Reich kämpfen, um die Prüfung des Alchemistenverbands zu bestehen.
