Arthur Walkington Pink was an English Christian evangelist and biblical scholar who was known for his staunchly Calvinist and Puritan-like teachings in an era dominated by opposing theological traditions. Pink was one of the most influential evangelical authors in the second half of the 20th century. Pink's beliefs and teachings were largely Calvinist- and Puritan-based. Pink clearly brings us a scriptural analysis of what to expect from the second coming of Christ in a truly thought provoking book.

Arthur Walkington Pink (1886-1952) was an English Bible teacher who sparked a renewed interest in the exposition of Reformed theology. In Sovereignty of God (1918) Pink attempts to explain the sovereignty of God versus the responsibility of man. It opens with a chapter that defines God's sovereignty, followed by various a series of chapters identifying the spheres in which it operates (like creation, salvation, reprobation, and more). Chapter seven deals with the sovereignty of God and the human will, while the next explains human responsibility in view of God's sovereignty.

Doubt as to moral and spiritual truth is distilled through a score of channels. Our seats of learning are hotbeds of agnosticism. Our literature, with rare exceptions, makes light of God and jokes about sacred things. The newspapers, the radio broadcasts, public utterances, and private conversations are steadily but surely removing the foundations of righteousness and destroying what little faith in spiritual things still remain.

This short but helpful book is a must for all Christians who want to walk in a manner worthy of Jesus Christ, pleasing him in all things. Pink aptly uses Proverbs 4:23 to show that keeping or guarding the heart is key to walking in that worthy manner. For from the heart are all “the issues of life.” As goes the heart, so goes the life. A. W. Pink (1886-1952) was a Christian pastor and author. In his book Why Four Gospels?, Pink explains the reason for the existence of four gospels in language that is easy to understand. He provides a detailed exegesis of each of the four, in order to explain the purpose and perspective of each. He concludes that the four gospels do not contradict but supplement one another to provide a more comprehensive portrait of the person of Jesus Christ.

Exposition of the Sermon on the Mount, Volume 2, originally published in Pink’s monthly Studies in the Scriptures. As in all his writings, Pink clearly and accurately describes the truth of Jesus’ teaching to the multitudes so many years ago and how his teaching is still very relevant to us today.
