Drake steals artifacts so they can benefit all of mankind. They belong in a museum, after all, not hoarded by a select few in their private vaults. It's a dangerous life, but someone has to do it. To do it, they will need help from an unlikely source: a bounty target. Racing against time, they have to track down this target and convince him to help them take on one of the deadliest forces in the universe. But even if he agrees, there is no guarantee that he won't betray them at the first opportunity.

With the Conclave on high alert and Twain on the move, Hank has to act fast. Things are looking dire, and Hank knows that he is going to need more support in the coming war. Joining the bounty hunter Council of Six would put him in a strong position to take on the resurging Cult. But doing that will be no easy task. Tracking down the biggest and baddest target in the universe will help his chances but it will also be their toughest job ever. And with Twain mobilizing, every second spent on the hunt is also one their enemy can use to strengthen his position.

Stepping up as an NCO, however, is something different. It isn’t enough to be an effective warrior. He has to be able to lead his fellow Marines, all without doubting his own abilities. Failing will not only lead to his own death, but to those under his command. The responsibility is heavy, and the cost of losing is high. At the same time, an old ally becomes a new enemy, thrusting Ryck into a life and death situation where success or failure rides on his shoulders.

The Anguilar are scavengers chased out of their own galaxy by an implacable enemy. It took Charlie and his friends in the resistance two years to finally defeat them in a desperate gambit that was very nearly a suicide mission. The threat from the Anguilar is gone, but the predators who chased them out of their galaxy have followed them here, looking for vengeance.

Noah Gantz is tricked out, powered up, and a hell of a lot funnier now that he’s survived his first showdown with his archrival, rogue test pilot Colonel Tate Collins. None of that will be enough to save his new friends when things go from bad to worse. Because in the Gavant Reach, things definitely will. When Wozim, the Tyton battle lord who already saved his life more than once, is crucially injured, Noah and the rest of the crew must find a lost planet, brave the terrors of the local wilderness, and find a cure for their friend's worsening wounds.

Pax becomes a team leader as the Marines are developing new tactics, but the Tucanans aren't standing still, either. And they seem to have targeted the Undead. High on their list of priorities is to figure out what makes the Undead so dangerous, and they'll go to any length to get their foot-arms on a few of them.
