The star of Dory Fantasmagory is heading to school. Her older siblings, Luke and Violet, warn her to leave her imaginary friend, Mary, at home - or, better yet, leave her whole imagination at home! Dory is determined to behave like a "regular old girl who never gets in trouble", but on her very first day she meets a new friend, a girl whose imagination and style are just about as wild as her own. Now she just has to convince her siblings that she's not making it all up!

Dory got lost. Then she got found! She never wants to be separated from her family again. Good thing Dory knows just what to do to keep them close. Get goofy—and ghostly—with Dory, that irresistible rascal!

As the youngest in her family, Dory really wants attention; and more than anything, she wants her brother and sister to play with her. But she's too much of a baby for them, so she's left to her own devices - including her wild imagination and untiring energy. Her siblings may roll their eyes at her childish games, but Dory has lots of things to do: outsmarting the monsters all over the house, escaping from prison (aka time-out), and exacting revenge on her sister's favorite doll.

Ever since Dory met Rosabelle, a real true friend whose imagination and high spirits match her own, school has been pretty good. But now the class is learning to read, and it's proving to be a challenge for Dory. While Rosabelle can read chapter books in her head, Dory is stuck with baby books about a happy little farm. Dory wishes for a potion to turn her into a reader, but things don't go as planned. Suddenly a naughty little girl who looks an awful lot like Dory's imaginary nemesis, Mrs. Gobble Gracker, shows up.

When her big sister Violet has friend trouble at school, Dory tries to come to her rescue. But, of course, Dory's active imagination takes over, and Dory's suddenly sure that Violet's problem involves pirates - and Violet's lost friendship bracelet is hidden treasure. When Dory sets sail to recover the treasure, she has to navigate rocky waters without her imaginary friend Mary, who has gone off on vacation with an exciting new friend of her own.

Dory has her first loose tooth, and, with her usual over-the-top excitement, she cannot stop talking about the tooth fairy. Naturally, this drives her brother and sister crazy. But it also sparks a serious jealous streak in her nemesis, Mr. Gobble Cracker, who wants all of Dory's attention to herself. But Mrs. Gobble Gracker has decided to steal the tooth fairy's job, and flying around in a tutu from Rosabelle, she heads for Dory's house. It's time for Dory to come up with a serious plan to get the tooth fairy her job back.

Dory ama stare a casa e giocare con i suoi amici immaginari. Ma la scuola ricomincia e i suoi fratelli la avvertono: è ora di trovare un amico in carne e ossa. Non sanno però che nella classe di Dory c'è una bambina che vive in un castello e ha un drago... Ma sarà tutto vero?

Dory sta per perdere il primo dente e non vede l'ora che arrivi la Fatina a portarle un soldino. Ma quando la perfida signora Arraffagracchi lo scopre, impazzisce di gelosia: anche lei vuole entrare nelle case dei bambini senza finire nei guai. Così decide di sbarazzarsi della Fatina e di rubarle il lavoro. Dory deve subito escogitare un piano astutissimo per salvare la Fatina dei denti e ottenere la giusta ricompensa. La quarta avventura di Dory Fantasmagorica.

Dory ha un problema: non sa leggere. Ma deve imparare se vuole continuare a essere amica di Rosabella, che è la più grande lettrice mai vista. Allora chiede aiuto al signor Bocconcino. Le cose però non vanno per il verso giusto e si ritrova inseguita da una pecora nera e da una diabolica bimba dall’aria troppo familiare... Che pasticcio! Leggere diventa una missione da supereroi... Forse un costume da Batman e tanta fantasia possono aiutare?

Dory ha sei anni, un'immaginazione incontenibile, e un fratello e una sorella più grandi che non vogliono mai giocare con lei. Pensano che si comporti come una bambina piccola. Ma non importa, perché Dory ha sempre MOLTE cose da fare e TANTI amici immaginari che pensano che lei sia FANTASTICA... Passa la sua estate in camicia da notte a scovare mostri sparsi per casa, a scappare dalla prigione (detta anche castigo) e a combattere la signora Arraffagracchi con l'aiuto di una fatina-gnomo...

Dory decide di aiutare la sorella maggiore, Viola, che ha qualche problema con le amiche d’infanzia a causa di un tesoro perduto (un braccialetto dell’amicizia). Di sicuro c’entrano i pirati! Alla ricerca del tesoro, Dory scopre che la vita di una ciurma è più dura di quanto pensasse. Ci si mette pure la signora Arraffagracchi con tanto di benda sull’occhio, e il signor Bocconcino che si si trasforma in una sirena. Cos’altro mai potrebbe succedere?
