1983. The US nuclear submarine USS Roanoke embarks on a classified spy mission into Soviet waters. Their goal: to find evidence of a new, faster, and deadlier Soviet submarine that could tip the balance of the Cold War. But the Roanoke crew isn't alone. Something is on board with them. Gestrandet auf einem Grenzplaneten, versucht der Klon Wayson Harris verzweifelt, sich wieder zurück in den Kampf zu stürzen. Als eine Gruppe, die sich wieder dem Kommando und dem Schutz der Vereinigten Obrigkeit anschließen will, ihn darum bittet, ihr Angebot zu übermitteln, kann Harris einmal mehr in die Uniform der V.O.-Marines schlüpfen. Doch während er einen Angriff auf den Feind anführt, entdeckt Harris, dass die Rebellen einen mächtigen Verbündeten gefunden haben, mit dem niemand hätte rechnen können.
