If you want to get to know a person, you need to take the time to study his character so that you can begin to understand who he is. But simply knowing the person is not enough, especially if you conflict with them over how their character traits affect you in a relationship. We are on a journey toward helping you regain control of the situation you have with a narcissist. Still, we won’t be able to make any headway with that path if we don’t understand who this person is and why he is acting this way. 

We all know that a happy marriage is never natural. It requires a lot of love, patience, and understanding between two people. The one thing you have to remember if you are dealing with either a toxic sibling, or a parent, or both is that, in the end, they are narcissists. That means they are in it for themselves, that they want and need to see themselves as your superior and that they will do some evil things to you to maintain that illusion. It’s simply who and what they are, and you cannot change them.  

Living with a narcissist can impact your life as a whole. Your self-esteem would start to change. Your mental health might be affected. Then, you would begin to lose yourself. Since you love the person, you’re trying your best to save your relationship. But when things get harder to control and manage, a breakup or divorce might be necessary.

A breakup or divorce is stressful and complicated. Feeling hurt after a divorce or breakup is normal. As time goes by, the pain and wound might heal. But it is easier said than done. Acceptance should come first before anything else. Don’t be in a hurry. Take your time. You will be a different version of yourself in the future.
