Story
When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game. I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids. My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all. He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known. We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens. That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

Story
When I left that night, I had every intention of coming back to you. To us. But no matter how hard I wish for what I want, there are some things in life that aren't meant to be. I don't expect you to understand. You've already moved on, living your life. But mine ended that night, nine years ago, and I still can't let you go. Not sure I ever will. I regret so many things, but hurting you, I'll never forgive myself. I'm sorry for...everything.

Story
"Look out for Zach, and don't hit on him." My brother's request sounds easy enough. Keep an eye out for his best friend on campus and keep my hands to myself. Easy. Even if Zach is a quintessential nerd, who I've always thought was cute, I don't have the time to think with my...stick. There's only one stick I should be focused on this year, and that's my hockey stick. My goal once I graduate is to get an NHL contract. The last thing I need is a distraction. On or off the ice. Only, keeping to the rules is harder than I thought it would be.

Story
I have to stop replaying the one night I spent with my rival. Trouble is, that white-hot encounter with the other quarterback answered a lot of questions I’ve had about myself, but it also led me into this mess where he hates me. I never showed up for our second date. Since, well, life happened, and the worst part is he’ll never know how much that night meant to me.

Story
I’m a man with too many secrets, so the last thing I need is a new roommate with a sexy smile and blue eyes that see right through me. Eight years ago, Roderick left town after high school. We’re not friends. I owe him nothing. But back then, I let one of my secrets slip, and he’s the only one who noticed. Part of me knows I should run far, far away. But the other part wants him to come upstairs and spend the night. But if I let him in, I could lose everything.

Story
Tyson Langley thinks the king in Franklin University Kings is in reference to him. Star lacrosse player and God’s gift to the female and male population, there’s nothing the spoiled jock can’t have. It’s impossible for us to be in the same room without talking crap to each other. But I also have a secret…as much as I despise Ty, I want him too. I revel in our banter and in never knowing what he’ll say next. I’ve spent too much time on the wrong side of the law for someone like Ty, though, and if I want to escape my past, he’s a distraction I don’t need.

Publisher's Summary
Maddox - The reason I rarely go home is three simple words: I'm a liar.
When the pressure to marry my childhood sweetheart became too much, I told her I was gay and then fled to New York like my ass was on fire.
Now, five years later and after a drunken encounter, I find myself invited to her wedding. And I have to bring my boyfriend-the boyfriend who doesn't exist because I'm straight.
At least, I think I am. Meeting the guy I'm bribing to be my boyfriend for the weekend makes me question everything about myself.
Damon - When my sister asks me to pretend to be some straight guy's boyfriend, my automatic response is to say no. It's because of guys like him people don't believe me when I tell them I'm gay.
But Maddox has something I need.
After an injury that cost me my baseball career, I'm trying to leave my playing days behind and focus on being the best sports agent I can be. Forty-eight hours with my sister's best friend in exchange for a meeting with a possible client. I can do this.
I just wish he wasn't so hot. Or that he didn't kiss like he means it.
Wait... why is the straight guy kissing me?
Contains mature themes.

Meh.
OK story. Nothing exceptional or noteworthy. Honestly, I'm not a fan. Narrators are both good.

Toe-curling squeals of joy
Such a fun listen!! One critique is that every once in a while the “guy talk” didn’t quite feel believable. But the story is so fun, sexy, and the characters have great chemistry. It’s also touching and vulnerable, but without being agonizingly angsty. Just enough “drama” to give the characters depth and dimension.
Like another review said, sometimes from the narration it was difficult to tell who was speaking, but it was easy enough to figure out within the context.

enjoyed the story
I enjoyed the story and exploration but had trouble following with the narration of both men, when they would talk as other men or women the voices would not change and it was sometimes difficult to figure out who was talking

Great narration, I could get lost in the sounds of those manly voices. This story is full of laughs and relatable moments.

Almost no sports in this sports romance
The love story felt kind of immature. They went on a fake date, realized they liked each other, fought the attraction, gave in to lust, got together, the end. Not much happening in the story. And the characters randomly went off on Canada sucking which was unappreciated. I also felt like the two male narrators voices were a bit too similar and hard to distinguish at points.

Definitely not my favourite.
This one really disappointed me. Based on the blurb, I was excited to read it, but it fell decidedly short.
The characters read as very young (younger than their early twenties) and awfully immature. The dialogue was youthful and quick, which would have made for good banter if it were written more maturely and with more dialogue tags. Honestly, there were times in which I had no idea who was talking, and I found it very frustrating.
There were a lot of repetitive cyclical thought processes that became boring after a while. Also, I really didn't like the obvious discrimination against vegetarians, women, and Canada in this book.
Overall, not my favourite. Won't listen to it again, and I won't recommend it.
