Great addition to the Predator universe.

Solid stories throughout with some great writing but my personal favourite was Little Miss Nightmare! I really enjoyed reading from the point of view of the Yautja (The Predator) it brings a whole new flavour to the franchise.

Acceptable Collection

I have to admit that I'm not a fan of stories written from the perspective of the Alien - and this follow-up compendium to 'If It Bleeds' (also edited by Bryan Thomas Schmidt) has quite a few of them - but this is pretty good. Each of the 15 authors featured clearly loves the character and tries to honor its "hunter" persona.. despite messing with the mysteriousness essential to the terrifying Yautja, imo (I would rather not be distracted from the action by the family/clan dynamics & sociopolitical considerations of an instinctual killer).
As in any anthology, some stories are excellent and some are *terrible* - but the majority of these offerings are at the very least "meritorious".

Similarly, the narration for the entries is hit & miss: A few are genuinely outstanding, and a couple are almost unlistenable. The sound quality - courtesy of Blackstone Publishing engineers - is invariably praiseworthy, however. This is an enjoyable listening product.

In toto, this well-curated collection merits 5.5 stars out of 10. As a 'Plus' option, it was a fine way to spend a couple of quiet afternoons.. but spend your Credit elsewhere should they ask for one.

[NOTE: The story about delivering a Predator baby when its mom goes into labor in the middle of a battle just might be the stupidest thing that I have ever read]
