Publisher's Summary

The story of Geralt of Rivia continues as war rages on in this epic fantasy—now, the story of The Witcher continues in the saga that inspired the second season of the Netfix series.

Blood of Elves: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience! * The New York Times bestselling series that inspired the international hit video game: The Witcher. For over a century, humans, dwarves, gnomes, and elves have lived together in relative peace. But times have changed, the uneasy peace is over, and now the races are fighting once again. The only good elf, it seems, is a dead elf.

Geralt of Rivia, the cunning assassin known as The Witcher, has been waiting for the birth of a prophesied child. This child has the power to change the world—for good, or for evil.

As the threat of war hangs over the land and the child is hunted for her extraordinary powers, it will become Geralt's responsibility to protect them all—and the Witcher never accepts defeat. *Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Great Narrator!

I loved it. Narrator was brilliant with all the different accents. At times I would feel a bit lost with all the different characters brought in. But I easily caught up.

Acceptable

I could have done without the soundtrack. Otherwise excellent. I found the music distracted from the performance

My first audio book - VERY HAPPY!

It was everything I had hoped for and more. I absolutely love the audiotracks version, and will be looking for it in every book I get from now on. I will sincerely miss it on the novels that don't have it.

Excellent performance, and I was truly immersed in the world. The different voices made for an amusing listen, and really helped differentiate the characters.

Looking forward to listening to the next one!

Bounces about but still good

There is a lot going on in this book. Still a decent story continuing on from sword of destiny developing more on princess Ciri.

I did enjoy this book however not as much as the last book. There were some parts that blended together while listening that ended up being two separate incidents so there was some rewinding in this book. I wish that it did not bounce around so much.

Overall Peter Kenny did the usual great job of reading this.

Amazing.

loved the story, the narrator did an amazing job and I will look forward to the remaining books in the series. This is my first audio book and I was addicted within 10 minutes, it took me a mere 2 days to complete it.

Entertaining

Excellent narration, I loved all the voices of the different characters. The writing describes the action quite well and the story itself is fun, though the gender roles feel a bit dated. The sound design was often great, but the music was not always well suited to the narrative - sometimes silence would have been better. That said, I'm listening to it for the second time!

Performer was alright.

Was pretty decent. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Peter Kenny's voice is fairly okay, the story and setting is phenomenal. Off to play the games again!

Great Narration and Fun Read

Peter Kenny was an amazing narrator and really helps sell the personalities of the different characters. There is a lot of political intrigue involving the warring nations and the different races.
The characters are fleshed out and very interesting as always, that is what the Witcher is know for. However there are some point where the plot meanders, it's not unbearable but be prepared for a slow burn. This is still one of the "setup" books that is just here to establish the setting, character arcs and plot for the next book or two in the series. Still a great read with tons of worth while moments.
