Dass die neuen Chefs im Wald plötzlich die Erdmännchen sind, ist zwar für Rufus und Ray famos, passt aber nicht allen. Unter dem Laubdach brodelt es gehörig. "Dann macht doch Demokratie", schlägt Rufus vor und stößt bei den Waldbewohnern auf sehr viel offenere Ohren als erwartet. Tatsächlich sieht es mit Feldhäsin Grete als erster Präsidentin für eine Weile so aus, als könnte sich alles zum Guten und Schönen und Friedlichen fügen.
Doch dann taucht eine Haussau samt Ferkelchen auf und fragt nach Keiler Herrmann. Und kurz darauf brechen drei sibirische Braunbären durchs Gehölz, für die Demokratie ein Fremdwort ist. Höchste Zeit für Rufus und Ray, durch eine geniale Idee den Wald zu retten!
