Story
He's a billionaire heir. A grump supreme. Hater of people. Bigger hater of peopling with people. And my new fake boyfriend. "Emotionally unavailable" doesn’t even begin to describe Hayes Rutherford. He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo. And he’s the ultimate catch of the century. At least, according to his bank statement. My job’s simple: Keep all interested ladies away from the walled-off heir, by pretending to be his one true love. But you know what they say about fake-dating a billionaire: It’s all fun and games, until the scandals start.

Story
Emmett Lasker is impossible to work for. He might be model handsome and stupidly wealthy, but he also has it out for me. He’s given me more last-minute and weekend requests than anyone else, ruining any plans I make. I should quit. And I will. Just as soon as I hit my two-year anniversary and earn out my signing bonus. But after a particularly awful day at work, a breakup (via text!), and my computer crashing, I’ve had enough! So at 11:59 Friday night, I barge into Emmett’s office to tell him what I really think of him. Only, that’s not what happens. AT ALL.

Publisher's Summary
What happens when frenemies take the experiment out of the lab and into the bedroom?
Corban Nash is a self-proclaimed data nerd with a sexy half smile and a set of abs that leave girls drooling. He developed a theory he claims will make two people fall in love. And after numerous tests on friends and family, it’s been successful for everyone who’s tried it.
The problem is, it’s never worked on him. And he doesn’t know why.
Still, he’s determined to prove his theory. The only thing standing in his way? His nemesis, Hazel Kiegen.
Hazel refuses to be distracted by Corban’s adorable awkwardness or his temptingly muscular body. He claims to have cracked the code to falling in love, and she’s going to prove him wrong.
From the moment these two rivals meet, their chemistry is irresistible. And what’s wrong with a little sex between enemies? But when they put Corban’s theory to the test for themselves, the results are deliciously unexpected.
Author’s note: Stand-alone romcom featuring a sexy nerd with a great big...heart. Tons of tension and witty banter. Super hot frenemies with benefits. Badass lady friendships with a widening circle of trust. And a romantic HEA that will leave you swooning.

Character changes
Claire Kingsley writes enjoyable tales of love, sex, friendship and human interaction of all kinds. Her books give me a moment to escape my own hectic life. Love em!
What I don’t understand is this:
When Stephen (for example) is reading as Corbin he puts a certain spin on that character. Then when Virginia has a chapter that includes comments from Corbin a whole new voice is introduced.
Why? Why isn’t Stephen reading all of Corbin’s parts regardless of who is doing the main read. Once a character has been assigned a voice it should not change. It just causes confusion. Especially when a man is attempting to voice an established female character.
This happens again and again with all characters in this series.
It’s a shame but I will still listen because I like the stories.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
