Publisher's Summary

Fate has torn us apart, and, sometimes, I believe the stars have given up on us altogether. Without my sister, the world seems darker than ever before, and the shadows loom thicker, rising up to answer the call of the Shadow Princess, and changing the face of Solaria for good.

Now, Lionel Acrux has the strength to make a move for the throne. I’m not sure how much time we have left to stop him. Our only hope is to find the Imperial Star before he does. We made the sacrifice the stars called for, and we’re paying the price for that decision - so it can’t be for nothing. But, with the stars turning against us at every move, and the last light in the world seeming to fade, I’m afraid we’re almost out of time. Hope is a dangerous thing. It’s the key to us fighting on. But it could be what destroys us in the end.

One thing is for certain, I won’t stop until I have been reunited with my other half, and together we will fight to take our crowns. A war is coming. The throne is calling for a new monarch. And someone must answer its call.

Intense

It’s a big book and lots happened, of course the most intense parts happened right at the end of the book.

So a new year at zodiac but blue has been without her sister all summer as she sacrificed herself to let the rest of them get away.
The fake king has brainwashed her & the shadows have taken over.

They the heirs have to work with blue to try to get Roxy back. We find out that the professor is where the fates wanted him to be in prison so he could met someone who would start him down his true path.

There’s some cross over between characters we got to know in the dark fae series.

There’s a secret love between two of the heirs.

There’s stolen moments of happiness despite the stars.

The truth behind who the shadow princess actually is.

There’s second chances & new friends. Bonds broken & sacrifices made for another day.

At times every thing seems to go wrong like there’s zero hope but then we see a light..

There was an epic battle at the end of the book but not the war so our people had to retreat & hid so they can live to fight another day!

Then we will also find out what curse was put in blue by the shadow princess as I don’t believe it’s actually gone!

AMAZING

I love this series of books. My daughter read and told me about Zodiac Academy and I was not interested however she continued to insist so I gave in …. Thank the stars 😉 for that because I really LOVE these books. I hate when they come to end. SO SO SO GOOD

Such a Rollercoaster!!! loved it.

some drastic changes happen and sides are shifted and fates changed. Games of deception trickery are played behind the scenes until everything eventually comes out.

Intense!

Wow this one was hard. I was pretty much cursing the authors this whole book. Why do they like to torture their readers?!? I had to take reading breaks to heal between all the blows. Is the HEA ever going to come???!? Pleeeease!

A better read

It’s taken a lot for me to get through these books, but I bet they would have been amazing if I had read them rather then listen. The narrator’s….they are extremely dramatic, to the point where I’m actually starting to hate most of the characters. I’m sure there are just trying to give the book a more exciting feel, but it’s missing the mark, making everything seem childish and well annoying….amusing in some places, but not for the right reasons.

Lots of Action

Overall this book was okay. I found Darcy to constantly be “facing death” which got old along with how sad and scared she often sounded. I was hoping after the previous book she’d have a stronger sense of self. Happy with the ending, although not much of a cliffhanger.
