Story
Labeled a silent epidemic by a growing number of therapists and researchers, estrangement is one of the most disorienting and painful experiences of a parent's life. Popular opinion typically tells a one-sided story of parents who got what they deserved or overly entitled adult children who wrongly blame their parents. However, the reasons for estrangement are far more complex and varied.

Game changer
This book opened my eyes to so many points towards my spouse but also about myself. This book made me want to explore more on the subject. my relationship with my spouse is forever change. some comments said that we could not transpose their remarks with this time but I believe that the imagination allows us to make more up to date in the examples. I will reread this book and recommend it to those around me without a doubt.

This will help at least a little bit
Certainly you won’t have heard everything presented in this book before though you may have heard some. You may want to close your mind when listening to the religious tones and heavy Freudian theories but keep it open and you’ll glean something from this research and observation based book that will help you understand relationships better than you do now.

Outdated
Although this book might have been useful in the 80’s when woman stayed at home and men went to work, it is out of touch with todays reality. I had high hopes after reading some of the other reviews but was severely disappointed. The authors voices also left much to be desired.
