Lafcadio Hearn, a master storyteller, drew on traditional Japanese folklore, infused with memories of his own haunted childhood in Ireland, to create these chilling tales. The reader cant pronounce a thing

As a long term resident of Japan, I struggled to understand half of what the reader was trying to pronounce. Perhaps the written edition had such errors as a product of the times, but I moreso suspect the reader simply didnt know how to read Japanese phonetics.
