Story
High heels, movie deals, wagon wheels, shoes, reviews, having the blues, builders, babies, families and other calamities... Many think that Marian leads a glitzy life of limos, television, and showbiz parties - but she would argue that she spends the majority of her life writing alone, wearing her PJs, and eating bananas with a laptop on a pillow in front of her. Under the Duvet is a wide collection of her journalism and stories, all personal, closely observed, and painfully funny...

Story
Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

Publisher's Summary
Lucy Sullivan is 26 and living it up (and occasionally down) in London.
Hers is a life of quiet, undisciplined desperation. But when she and three friends visit a psychic for a bit of fun and the woman's predictions start coming true, Lucy is horrified. For the fortune-teller insisted she'd soon be married - within the year, in fact. Not only does Lucy not have a boyfriend, but the chances of getting one are looking slim.
Between the bottles of wine, antidepressants and her addiction to self-help books, she's not quite ready to walk, or even stumble, down the aisle sober. Is Lucy's fate really written in the stars? Or will she finally take control of her own destiny?
What the critics say
"Gloriously funny." (Sunday Times)
"When it comes to writing page-turners that put a smile on your face and make you think, Keyes is in a class of her own." (Daily Express)

I adore Marian Keyes, but….
Marian Keyes ranks among my all-time favourite authors. This book is a noteworthy exception. First, I didn’t like this narrator. Second, the protagonist can best be described as…a brat. I found it difficult to sympathize with her because she was kind of a terrible person. Any other book by this author is 100% worth the money, but skip this one.
