Story
Before Miss Peregrine gave them a home, the story of peculiars was written in the Tales. Wealthy cannibals who dine on the discarded limbs of peculiars. A fork-tongued princess. These are but a few of the truly brilliant stories in Tales of the Peculiar - the collection of fairy tales known to hide information about the peculiar world, including clues to the locations of time loops - first introduced by Ransom Riggs in his number-one best-selling Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series.

Story
Arek hadn’t thought much about what would happen after he completed the prophecy that said he was destined to save the Kingdom of Ere from its evil ruler. So now that he’s finally managed to (somewhat clumsily) behead the evil king (turns out magical swords yanked from bogs don’t come pre-sharpened), he and his rag-tag group of quest companions are at a bit of a loss for what to do next. As a temporary safeguard, Arek’s best friend and mage, Matt, convinces him to assume the throne until the true heir can be rescued from her tower. Except that she’s dead.

A fabulous written book!
This book was a great listen! It was surprising to learn the movie was not far off from the book however ending if the was far more in depth than the movie and far better in my opinion. Although the narrator, was not always on top of accents; he made the characters come alive and made very enjoyable to listen. I highly would recommend this book and I cant wait to start listening to the second book in the series.

Terrible Accents
This is a good book and I've read it before but the narrators awful accents make it hard to listen to. It's a pity.

Great story, bad accents
It’s a solid story well written. The narration is fine until it comes to accents, and there are a lot of accents. Some were jarring enough to distract from the story.

Interesting story but...
I really enjoyed the American portrayals, they as they were well voiced. However, I’m sorry Jesse, but those were the worst english accents that I have ever heard, and it really took away and distracted me from the plot. Keep trying.

Great listen
So good to hear the book being read but I do wish that a British person had read the book as the British accent was terrible.
