Story
Few know the warship’s actual name. But everyone has heard the rumors. The PUV James Keeling can do something no other vessel in existence can do—slip into another dimension, travel undetected, then re-emerge onto our plane and surprise enemy targets. But the thing that makes the Crypt unique also makes it a nightmare for those onboard; interdimensional travel causes hallucinations, violent behavior, and psychotic breakdowns. Keeling could be the Union’s greatest weapon, a game-changing asset that can defeat the bloodthirsty zealots of the Purist Nation, the Union’s mortal enemy.

While teaching anthropology at a Boston college, Rex attempts to bury the past, until he discovers a hidden clue he can’t ignore. With the help of a former student, he teams up with an alien-obsessed billionaire, and they search for the fabled Bridge. As an unidentified object nears Pluto, speculation surges. When an experiment to study quantum uncertainty goes spectacularly wrong, physics student Bill Rustad and his friends find that they have accidentally created an inter-dimensional portal. They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Story
From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years' time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

Publisher's Summary
The sequel to the number one Audible Best Seller Earthcore.
From the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Generations Trilogy comes the second book in the Sun Symbol series, an epic story of lost civilizations, redemption, and immeasurable treasure.
With shades of Tom Clancy, Stephen King, and James Rollins, Mount Fitz Roy continues the tale of Patrick O’Doyle and Bertha Lybrand, who were part of the horror show that occurred far below the mountains of Utah. They learn that the "mother of all motherlodes” discovered there was not unique, that there is another deposit similar to it three miles beneath the towering peak of Cerro Chaltén on the disputed border between Chile and Argentina.
O'Doyle, a middle-aged former member of a disgraced black-ops unit, gets his aging team back together to go after this fortune. Funded by the mining company EarthCore, he, Bertha, and his crew of 40-something operators try to turn back the clock long enough to make them all richer than their wildest dreams.
But three miles below the surface, where geothermal temperatures will cook you alive, something is waiting. Waiting, and guarding. This time, O’Doyle is well-prepared and well-armed - if he survives, he will be set for life, and he will have his revenge for the Utah massacre.

Perfect Blend of Sci-Fi and Thriller
An exciting blend of military thriller and sci-fi action, MOUNT FITZ ROY is a fast paced adventure from start to finish.
MOUNT FITZ ROY continues Patrick O'Doyle's and Bertha's story as they are presented with an opportunity to obtain unfathomable wealth if they are willing to face the same vicious aliens at Mount Fitz Roy as they did in Utah. But aliens are not the only enemies they need to worry about, as Angus Kool is also looking for his second shot at wealth and glory.
The characters remind me of the cast of the original PREDATOR film: Each one of them had a memorable personality and role to play in the story, every one of them was tough as nails, and not one of them was safe. Many had great moments and as the danger increased, they were forced to adapt. Tommy, Patrick, and Samara were among my favorites, thanks to their intelligence, drive, and fallibility. I even have to admit that Angus had substantial growth, making him a complex antagonist who, if not entirely good, was easy to understand and empathize with.
There were a few characters who were mentioned or brought to the scene that sort of faded out of the first act, and while I can understand this, I would have liked a little more closure about what happened to them.
It didn't take long for the story to have an unexpected twist that elevated this story even more, and presented some very challenging choices for our heroes. The plot becomes easy to follow, and the stakes never lessen the moment the teams begin their mission. If anything, it only becomes faster and more intense until the explosive finale.
I had a great time reading this one and definitely recommended it for new/old fans of Scott Sigler, as well as anyone who loves stories reminiscent of the ALIEN and PREDATOR franchises.

Scott Sigler knocks it out of the park again
Started listening to Scott years ago, subscribing to his podcast and enjoying my 4+ plus of driving around the GTA. Loved his podcast so much, I started buying his books and listening to everything I could. Listened to Earthcore several times it was so good and Ray Porter is amazing. Ray Porter also needs a lot of credit to this, he's the man of a 1000 voices. Phenomenal performance by Ray. Fantastic story by Scott. Don't want to spoil anything, do yourself a favour and listen to both books. Listen to his other work, check out his podcast as well. Great work Scott, make sure you mention me as your number 1 Junky!

Great narration, excellent thriller story
I listened to the first book Earthcore many years ago, and I was always curious to know more about the "rest of the story".
I am glad I did. This book was great and I listened to it over the course of many walks with my dog. I had it on in the car and had only a few minutes to go, so I stayed in the garage to listen to the end.
I dont want to give too many spoilers, but its great.
