"Queen's Musical Journey: An Audiobook Gem with a Flaw"
I recently listened to this audiobook about the legendary band Queen and was thoroughly impressed. This book offers an in-depth look at the band's work, tracing their journey from the very beginning, even before Queen was formed, and continuing all the way through to the release of their "Made in Heaven" album in 1994. It mainly focuses on their musical career, with less emphasis on the personal lives of the band members. While there is some general information about their personal lives, it doesn't delve deeply into the details of what happened between them or how their lives were offstage.
The narration is absolutely superb, bringing the story to life in a captivating manner. The book is well-structured and rich with details that any Queen fan would appreciate. However, there's a notable flaw: all the dates from the 1980s are mistakenly mentioned as being from the 1990s. For instance, an album released in 1981 is referred to as being released in 1991. This is a significant error that can be quite confusing at times.
Despite this issue, the book is a fantastic listen and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Queen's musical legacy.
