Story
Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man—a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness. Now, he is going to prove that for him, there's no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.

Publisher's Summary
It's been years since the Gray Man's first mission, but the trouble's just getting started in the latest entry in the number one New York Times best-selling series.
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team.
In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man.
A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

Sierra Six a powerful engaging ride
I was originally concerned with the length of the book but the story, I should say stories running parallel over 12 years are equally engaging and solid in themselves. But the way they blend to an incredible ending is wonderful and satisfying. I will seek out more of this authors Work!

2 Thrillers in one
I love the Gray man series. This book is basically 2 books in one shuttling back and forth between 2 periods 12 years apart.
The pace is great, the characters believable and I was thoroughly entertained.
The narrator is excellent!

Can’t get enough of the Sierra Six
I’ve listened to all of Mark Greaney’s books, and the Grey man series is just amazing. The sardonic humour hiding the underlying personal struggles of the main character trying to make a difference, is both refreshing and endearing. I like all the supporting characters too, except for Suzanne Brewer - she’s a bit over the top as an antagonist, not that believable. Good work and can’t wait for the next one in the series!

best one yet
I thought I'd be impatient with the flashbacks but they really helped bring the present a sense of context in a very intriguing way. It was great to see how Court developed, too, giving more of a vulnerable edge to him than expected. I loved it!!
