Not bad but not amazing

It’s a unique vampire series, and there’s some romance & spice. Lots of fights and action. The third book could of used a trigger warning ⚠️ as it talks about childhood rape⚠️
Overall it’s an okay series, I was hoping that all mated pairs would of been blessed either way a magical gift not just the twins but I guess we’re not that lucky

Love both the Awakening and this Series

I love this author and the writing for both the series. it is very engaging and keeps my attention for each book I have listened to. the narration is great as well. can't wait to finish the remaining books in the series.

Agh...disappointed

This is the kind of story and series that I dislike.

The type of story where the author throws words of she’s strong and she is defiant and she has trained to fight but every two seconds the male of the story has to take care of this so-called strong woman.

She’s supposed to be a fighter but almost immediately and in every single instance where she’s attacked or rough handed she does nothing she can’t get out of anything all she can do is kick someone in the calf... really??

she supposed to be smart yet she thinks that if she doesn’t go back to her home even though she doesn’t know how to use a cell phone, half the things that they told her were lies, she’s never been out in the world beyond the compound, she’s super naive, she doesn’t have any money, no ID, no where to sleep, she thinks if she’s free she’d be okay, while having dreams of going to the louvre..hahaha!! Let me wipe a tear away. this woman sounds like a child when their parents have said no and they’ve decided to run away, so they pack a backpack with some clothes (which is more than this lady’s done because she also has no clothes) and they run away from home to wherever then quickly realize that it is a crap idea. That little kid is smarter because they realize it’s a crap idea and go back home. This lady even when they say it’s not safe, doesn’t get it, in her mind no one will be bossing her around and she will be free. OK I understand the need to be free but hello this woman should’ve been smarter and at least packed a bag if she planned to steal a car and go through all the trouble of breaking out, at least prepare, stash some cash, make sure you have some clothes and a phone so that if something happens you have a way to keep yourself safe until you can get back home, but nope.

I don’t know why the author has taken someone that could have had such potential and dwindled down to this ridiculous, naïve, not strong, whiny woman ...why? why?

I don’t know if each book is a different set of main characters or if this three book series is the same characters carrying on a story throughout but either way I’m done. I didn’t make it anywhere near a quarter of the way through the first book, but it’s just not my cup of tea. If you’re going to repeatedly describe someone as being strong and a fighter let them be strong and a fighter.
