Story
Lucy Sullivan is 26 and living it up (and occasionally down) in London. Hers is a life of quiet, undisciplined desperation. But when she and three friends visit a psychic for a bit of fun and the woman's predictions start coming true, Lucy is horrified. For the fortune-teller insisted she'd soon be married - within the year, in fact. Not only does Lucy not have a boyfriend, but the chances of getting one are looking slim. Between the bottles of wine, antidepressants and her addiction to self-help books, she's not quite ready to walk, or even stumble, down the aisle sober.

Suppose your life sucks. A lot. Your husband has done a vanishing act, your teenage stepson is being bullied, and your math-whiz daughter has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you can't afford to pay for. That's Jess' life in a nutshell - until an unexpected knight-in-shining-armor offers to rescue them. But Ed has big problems of his own, and driving the dysfunctional family to the Math Olympiad feels like his first unselfish act in ages...maybe ever.

Keep the tissues handy
Such an emotional story. From the start, Marian Keyes does such a great job of wrapping the reader/listener in the emotional turmoil of the breakdown of a loving, but now complacent, marriage. My heart was breaking alongside Amy and Hugh.

Fan of author reading her books but this narrator is very good
Love how Keyes addresses so many aspects of life with a touch of humour! McMahon does do a fab job of reading but I prefer Keyes voice if I were to choose.

Thoroughly entertaining
I forgot just how entertaining a storyteller Marian Keyes is. When a book can make you laugh out loud or bring a tear to your eyes, it really is time well spent and it was.

Another great story from Keys & wonderfully narrated
The story is well thought out and described, as all of Marian Keys books.
The storyteller does such a great job with her voice to help differentiate the characters and express different emotions.

Not my favorite Marian Keyes
A bit dreary for Ms. Keyes - not many laugh-till-you-cry moments. The narrator's attempts at male voices was quite cringe-worthy.
