So difficult to follow

I’m not sure if it’s the narration or the story itself. But this was incredibly difficult to follow. Too many Tribe names and Family names being dropped all at once. It’s difficult to place who/ what/where. Eventually I gave up.

Bad narration.

Narrator is robotic, text itself is steeped in racist tone of indigenous people being crude savages. A modern view with anthropological reference would be an immense improvement.
