Publisher's Summary

My name is Vinna, and I've been keeping a lot of secrets.

You would too if you'd experienced some of the weird shit I have: red-eyed monsters chasing me, markings on my body appearing out of nowhere, a strange power that crackles colorfully over my skin from time to time, and don't get me started on the weapons I can conjure up almost out of nowhere.

Lucky for me, I have yet to meet someone whose ass I couldn't kick, inside the ring or out. I put that to the test when I run headfirst into a fight that brings all my secrets, and reality as I know it, crashing down around me. Now, I'm looking for answers and trying to piece together what the hell is going on. Paranormal is my new way of life. It's not going to be easy, and I'm not exactly welcome.

That is, until I meet the boys, and trust me, they are anything but boyish.

I'm up against elders who think I'm too powerful, a family who views me as a threat, and something lurking in the shadows that's been coming for me my whole life.

There's not a chance in hell I'm going down without a fight. I'm not lost anymore, and I'm about to show this world exactly what I can do.

Contains mature themes.

Good story

I loved this book it was funny with a bit of spice. The banter is so funny I have laughed out loud. The world building is unique and I really enjoyed the story.

Definitely a must read series!

This review will be repeated on all four books.

I am sad to say that I downloaded the first of this series a year or so ago and listened to an hour and I didn’t like it. I thought the main character was full of herself and too judgemental, I didn’t like the narrator’s voice, I thought everything negative, so i stopped listening, deleted it from my device but not from my library, why, I have no idea. Forgetting all of the above, I found this book in my library and redownloaded it this week. I continued from the point I left off and soon got caught up in the book, realizing I was so very wrong about my previous assessment. I listened to all three free books and then used a credit for the fourth and I am pleased that I did.

this is a fantastic series! I’m not familiar with the author, I haven’t read any of her other stuff, I’m not even sure if I’m going to read any of her other stuff but this particular series was kick a**. I love a strong female lead and I hate it when authors throw out words like bad a**, cunning or strong in the description of the main female lead but those descriptions turn to ash right away with the character constantly crying or getting hurt and not being able to do anything on her own and relying ...no needing the strong males to fight for her and save and coddle her, and no strength of her own is shown. Their chosen or their mates or their guardians are left to do most of the work to take care of them except at the end. this book was not one of those books. hands-down the complete series was the complete opposite. when she says she’s bada** she means bada**. she has muscles, she’s defined, she sexy, she trains hard, some of the situations were frustrating to listen to but showed her she immaturity in age and how she was raised but we see her growth throughout.

One of the things that I truly loved about this series, aside from the fact that the author stayed true to the character throughout, or that they were other strong females throughout, or the intrique and action stayed the entire series, or that each book seemlessly continued from the previous as if you just turned the page even though each book had a satisfactory conclusion; it wasn’t any of that, it was that the series was complicated but complete. It was the fact that by the end of the series there were no unanswered questions. So many books do this huge quick wrapup at the end and you are left thinking, that’s it? What about...or what happened to...not in this series. The fourth book in this series tied everything up all while starting the characters on a new path, true to their strengths and original goals. two thumbs up to the author for the series, I will keep the books in my library because I almost guarantee that I will re-read them at some point.

For those who are not aware, this is a reverse harem book but in this book the females and the female lead are strong and determined throughout the entire series.

This is not an epic romance type of book. They fall in love but it’s not the swoony type of romance. in this book they fall in love but they stay still stay true to their characters there’s a strong bond but it doesn’t diminish any of their characteristics. This is a bad a**book with bada** characters fighting bada** battles.

Thumbs up to the narrator Mia Madison, a great job throughout.

Just OK

This book is just like all the other romance supernatural witch, vampire, werewolf …. Meh.
I wish I could find more story line.
The female main characters favorite Word is the F word. Was not impressed. And she blows hissy fits and temper tantrums like a child and wonders why they treat her like one. I don’t really like this character. The storyline was good, but I don’t think I will waste my time listening to the other free ones that are there.
Sure it had a storyline and it wasn’t half bad. But I think I would like less romance and more action. People like witches, vampires, werewolves, and supernatural for the supernatural things they can do. I think I’m tired of all the so-called romance these guys have. I want more fighting more action.
It wasn’t a terrible book by any means. And the narrator was very good. I just kind of wish there was a male narrator in there as well for the male characters. But you can’t have everything.
The selection was actually free so I didn’t lose anything.
