Loomis has provided commentary about each major article that supplies context and her own informed point of view.

Editorial Review
Successfully managing your money doesn’t have to be rocket science, as this Canadian-based common sense guide to financial security shows. Becoming wealthy, or at least financially stable, and ridding yourself of debt is one of the skills most sought after in modern society, and indeed throughout history. Everyone wants to be able to stop worrying about money and gain the peace and ease of financial stability. So how do we achieve this elusive goal? It may not be as hard as it seems. In David Chilton’s The Wealthy Barber, listeners will learn a straightforward, common sense plan for reducing debt and money stresses while carving a path to financial stability. In this audiobook, Chilton creates the character of Roy, the titular barber, and uses examples and anecdotes from this character's life to illustrate his points and plan. With a mixture of pragmatism and humour, the author is able to drive home his point while easing the fear and anxiety surrounding this often daunting topic. David Chilton is a Canadian-based author who has placed the setting of this business fable in the town of Sarnia, Ontario. This Canadian knowledge and location helps listeners across Canada relate and connect to the financial guide on a level they often can’t with American or European guides. While the principles of Chilton’s guide are universal, the financial landscape of Canada does have unique qualities. The references to local Canadianisms and lessons that apply to Canadian culture help listeners connect in a practical and applicable way in order to better steer their financial success.

Easy to listen to and learn from
This is a solid four or five star book. The backdrop and characters make for a quirky and very digestible book. it rarely ever feels particularly serious or heavy, but I still found myself learning quite a bit about investment fundamentals.

Good advice for Americans
The general guidelines are good but the more technical taxation and investment advice is designed for residents of the USA. Still a good listen though, definitely not a waste of time.
