  • Zoey’s Zany Life by Mikayla Lowery
    May 24 2024

Zoey Song cannot catch a break from quirky mishaps and hilarious accidents. The redhead is as warm-hearted as they come, but trouble follows her everywhere. Zoey also puts up with a little-miss-perfect twin sister and friends who seem to have everything they want. Can Zoey find a place in her world where life isn't unbearable? Let's just say, the sixth grade becomes quite the journey from self-loathing to self-confidence.

Mikayla Lowery was born in China on August 23rd, 2005 in a large city called Chong Qing. Someone took her to an orphanage where she stayed for a year. She was blessed beyond measure to be adopted by Scott and Jenny Lowery of Cartersville, Georgia, one month after her first birthday.

Mikayla spent eight years as an award-winning gymnast and began writing short stories when she was nine. She took a step back from gymnastics to focus on becoming a professional child author. She loves all forms of visual art, interior design, and calligraphy. She also plays the piano and is very active at her church. She has been an honor roll student every year in school.

Mikayla Lowery is devoted and never gives up on a goal. She is an amazing little girl with countless supporters. Charlie’s Port is developing Mikayla’s Zany Zoey series and her children’s picture book Why Do Birds Eat Bagels?

  • Purple Panic by Ella Shine
    May 10 2024

Princess Gina's owner is very fussy, but Cassie and Lina think they'll be able to care for her guinea pig just fine... until Gus runs off with the pet-sitting instructions, and Princess Gina can't even be seen!

Kids age 5-8 will adore this fresh new series for emerging and independent readers featuring best friends, magical pets and a grumpy, talking cat, with plenty of action, mess and adventure, and a sprinkling of the unexpected.

Ella Shine is a pen name for authors Penny Reeve and Cecily Anne Paterson who have created Purple Panic and five other Pet Sitters stories.

Penny is the author of over 25 books for young people, from picture books to YA titles, while Cecily has written eight middle fiction titles for pre-teens and younger teenagers. Both authors have books on the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge, are recipients of the CALEB Award.

Cecily Paterson was a semi-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award, and third place getter in the Australian Christian Book of the Year Awards.

Both Penny and Cecily grew up overseas in countries that were not Australia. And both of them have dogs, not cats.

  • More Than Your Mountains by Whitney Ward
    Apr 26 2024

Did you know God made you MORE than your disease, and He has a purpose for you?

No matter how many needle sticks you get that make you shout “Ow!” or scary tests that make you want to scream or cold waiting rooms you have to sit in that make you feel small - God sees you, your bravery, and the MORE He created you to be.

Whitney Lane Ward is a public speaker and writer who encourages audiences to overcome their circumstances. As someone with a disability, it is her wish to give hope to others with illnesses so they will scale the mountains they face.

The author’s disease began when she was a little girl, so Whitney knows first-hand the emotions and feelings children experience and the frightening unknowns they face. In this book, Whitney encourages every child who’s battling a disease to see themselves how God sees them and shout the powerful message to the world— “I am MORE!”

She was the first person in the world to be diagnosed with the disease she has. She also had the honor of naming it!

The name I chose was MAGIS Syndrome. MAGIS means “more,” in Latin and I want anyone who is diagnosed with this disease to know that they are MORE!

You can get a copy of her book at her website or by visiting https://whitneylaneward.com or Amazon.
