Troy Duran can be the head of my Irish Mob whenever he wants. He and narrator Marnye Young bring Tru and Liam to life and OMG there is a lot of life here! J.T. Geissinger is one of my go to mafia writers and the duet narrated book was pure enjoyment for me.

The narrators did an outstanding job. I mean who can turn down a good Irishman.

I really liked this story. Not the typical mobster shoot for love romance. Ok fine there's stalking and a coercion/ kidnapping living situation thing but it's so sweet!!!

I did like that how both were strong willed. it added a nice flair. I found this book has a lovely balance of character development and delivery scenes. Not erotic, more slow burn that ignites.

I'm excited for book 2!

Wow!!! I picked up this story because I'm eager to read Killian's story which is book 2 (loved him in the dangerous series). So I am very excited to have loved Liam so much. I did listen to this on audio and I have to admit the Irish brogue and the narration made this the best experience. I love when a book is narrated in this way, where all male voices are done by the male and the same for females.
Liam has been coming to the diner where Truvy works for a year. They have chemistry, but Liam has secrets and he doesn't want to put Truvy in harm's way. But sometimes desire, lust and love are stronger than all of the best intentions!!!

can I just say whoever edited this audiobook deserves a raise! the sounds they added when they were on the phone was great as well as the flashback sounds. it really added to the experience of listening to the book. I wish more audiobooks had stuff like that. the story was great as well 🤣

Sexy gritty romance topped with an intriguing air of mystery. My favourite type of book. There are some ethical issues but this is a fictional book set in a darker world. The main characters are well developed and enticing. Supporting characters are amusing and developed in clever ways. There is the added bonus of humour thrown in the mix. Narrator did a superb job.
