Absolutely Brilliant - A Masterpiece!
Julia Whelan is new to me but this audiobook has made me an instant number one fan! The writing is superlative, it undoubtedly belongs in its own league. The story is unique, heartwarming, evocative, steamy as hell, and magically transports its listeners to the breathtaking palazzo nestled somewhere in beautiful Venice. The narrators breathe life into this magnificent story, providing nine hours of pure listening pleasure. Julia Whelan was amazing as Claire, the incomparable Sebastian York was most perfectly casted as Alessandro and Edoardo Ballerini was delightful as Jacopo. Jonathan McClain did an amazing job as well, as the rakish billionaire Richard Craven. I would give this audiobook 10 smashing stars if I could. I really hope that this book gets optioned - seeing it turned into a movie would be such an amazing cinematic experience!
