God tier book!
Can you give infinite stars to a book? If so this book delves it. I have another book imprinted on my heart and soul now.
As you know I’ll try to keep it spoiler free. With this part we pick up right where we left off in pt.1. This book is an emotional rollercoaster and an amazing, brilliant character development coming from an author that clearly knows human psyche and the depths of people. Alaina’s journey in this book is very powerful, grateful and empowering. Andi Eloise, as Alaina has easily climbed into my favorite female voices, her amazing performance has blown my mind.
Sam, is the best support character, brother, friend and even right hand. Without him and his knowledge this book would be missing part of its actual heart.
Now, Dax, the intelligence, the emotional depth and the integrity of this character is unmatched in any paranormal fantasy book. Combine this with the amazing voice of Joe Arden who will take this to another dimension . Andi and Joe as a team, the characters, the dynamic, diversity and creativity of their voices was off the charts.
There is a villain in this book, I won’t tell you who it is, however, his voice, straight chills and goosebumps. Also CJ the amount of empathy I felt for them. I cant even tell you when was the last time I actually hoped that the villain somehow will find redemption.
There are heavy emotional chapters in this book so please read your trigger warnings!

all around amazing story
what a prefect performance C.J. Sweets writing mixed with two amazing narrators brings it all together I can't wait for what c.j. has brewing next this will be my go to re-listen when I'm in a slump part one and two are both 10/10!!!
