Ezra Hamilton hasn't felt the warm spurt of blood flow through his fingers or the indescribable feeling of pushing a knife deep into someone's flesh in a long time. Too long.

He's been watching a man stalk women, curious as to what he's doing with them. Ezra's never encountered someone with similar dark tendencies before, and what starts off as genuine curiosity turns into much more when Kaspian turns the tables on him.

As their chemistry builds, so does the mistrust. They both know they can't trust a killer, but their inner demons call to each other anyway.

When Kaspian's impulsivity threatens to ruin Ezra's freedom, he knows he has to stop him. Kas appears to be fixated on Willow, a woman Ezra works with. In an effort to not have to worry about her disappearance bringing heat on him, he tracks Kaspian as Kaspian follows Willow into a cabin in the mountains.

There, in the middle of a blizzard, secrets will be revealed and revelations made, but the chances of everybody making it out alive are slim.

This is a dark romance with mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website. Includes "Twisted Valentine," a Dysfunctional Series short story.

Ezra and Caspian are both fucked up. That's the bottom line. Both love pain, both obsessed and feral. Finding eachother. Their back story is limited... but you get the picture. I would love to see what book 2 of these two would be like. Maybe an investigation with some tension and the possibilities of losing eachother?? I do love the small town feel and gossip. I love their mutual darkness and how together they can be their true selves....killers. Great read. Be prepared that these narrators are both phenomenal and when the spicy scenes hit.... they are INTO IT. ENJOY!!!!!!

Depraved but delicious

Great start to the series. And I hope both narrators come back. It’s in dual narration which is fine but I would have loved this in duet.

Wow!

Great if you’re into the really dark stuff. Personally I prefer morally grey rather than morally black (like when killers only kill bad people) so it can be a little hard to listen to some parts if you have a problem with MCs killing innocent people. Narration for Kas is great. The narration for Ezra a little hard to listen to sometimes especially during spicy scenes. He’ll go from mumbling/whispering to shouting for seemingly no reason and the spicy scenes are kind of cringey because they’re read like the narrator is actually doing what he’s reading and you can barely understand some of it. Like he’s trying to get the words out as fast as possible without stopping for a breath as if he’s actually being “spicy”. Maybe some people are into that but I’ve listened to a lot of mm Romance and I find it super cringey when the spicy scenes are narrated that way. It’s one thing if it’s only the dialogue when the narrator gets… enthusiastic but when it’s the parts between the dialogue as well it can be painful to listen to.

Liked the story line, narration was so so.
