Zane brought these characters to LIFE
Cora Rose has truly outdone herself with this book in my opinion. Seeing as it's her first real mafia book (although we do get glimpses of this life through Diablo and Ben) it was honestly just superb! I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for this book, so excited for Tatum and Anthony's story and it blew my mind. I'm a sucker for age gap, morally grey characters, grumpy meets sunshine and 'I'm straight but still obsessed with you' vibes 😈🤫. This story had all this and so much more! The plot was amazing and kept you guessing at some things, and the side characters were so interesting as well. We've already met Angel, but in this we meet more characters and trust me when I say you'll be screaming for their stories as well. I know I am. Hands down, one of my favourite Cora reads to date.
Tatum and Anthony were absolutely perfect together, and the chemistry was off the charts! 🔥🔥🥵 The spicy scenes will have you heating up in no time. I can't rant enough about it honestly, I loved the voyeurism, the possessiveness, the protectiveness and the fact that not only does Tatum have a safe place with Anthony, Anthony also finds a safe place with Tatum as well, just in different ways.
Anthony is your typical mafia boss, cold, calculating, shutting down his emotions even concerning his own sons in order not to appear weak, while Tatum is loud, proud, flirtatious and vivacious. He's the life of any party and turns head wherever he goes. It's only fair that Anthony is obsessed within 5 minutes of meeting him, although he's VERY good at hiding it 🤫.
Seriously, I can't wait for the next book, (but I will wait patiently for anything Cora puts out 😂) I can't even tell you which character I hope it follows because they are all so interesting.
* Edited to add, just finished the audiobook and it was AMAZING! Zane Daniels did such an amazing job. He really brought Anthony & Tatum to life, and brought in some effects that made this performance so 👏 well 👏 done 👏💯. He had me drooling and my heart pounding during this entire audiobook 🥵💥🥹.

I'm hooked...
There is some on the edge of your seat suspense and some over the top eye roll moments. Zane Daniels did a brilliant job of narrating.
