This rarely happens, but I couldnt find anything redeeming about this audiobook. Right from the first 2 mins, I had to increase the speed so the female narrator would sound like she was speaking at a normal rate. As for the male narrator, he did a great job doing the sportscaster/ announcer part, but he got stuck in that role.

The story itself dragged but didn’t have any build up either. I was very disappointed as I had heard good things about this author. A fellow bookclub member (who chose this as our monthly read) even said that this was so bad, she couldn't finish it either. Hopefully this is a one off novel and not a good representation of the author's writing style.
