This is my first Evelyn Montgomery book and I must admit that this dark retelling of Peter Pan kept me intrigued from the get go. The chemistry between Peter Pan and Wendy was great whether you experience it at an earlier age or in the present day. The time jumps just added much more to the story and showed that their connection spanned years. I liked that as a reader you got to experience both of these characters older- their emotions just hit differently.. This take on the classic was a great listen.
Both Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden surpassed my expectations and showed us a darker side of their personality when it came to voicing Tinkerbell and Hook, he twists and turns added depth to the story
I'm looking forward to reading more form this author!
