I may not know much about play strategy, but I’ve been the good guy my whole life. I’ve been listening, and I know exactly what women want. Framed in a picture standing next to me, Troy may seem like Mr. Perfect, but he’s underestimating the guy on the right.

found the story itself to be cute, lighthearted, and genuinely funny. The romance had charm, and there were definitely moments that made me smile. Kate Stewart is one of my favorite authors, and I usually love how she brings depth and emotion to her characters.
However, I really struggled with the FMC’s narration. It felt robotic and flat at times, which made it difficult to fully connect with her character or stay immersed in the story. Because of that, this one was harder for me to get through than I expected.
Overall, while the premise and humour were enjoyable, the narration made it a challenging read for me — especially compared to other Kate Stewart books I’ve loved
