this book is like having sex with a very Hott man who you've spent all night flirting with and him building up his prowess. should be great but isn't, still pretty good but ultimately not thoroughly satisfying. like you know he had a great time and we'll talk about how great a time he had and that's what's going to make it a really good experience for you but ultimately you did most of the work for not enough pay off. that's what this book feels like.

Well I can see the appeal for me personally this particular story while interesting and has a good element of medieval fun in a modern context it leans too heavily on the nurture and consent side of the relationship being managed exclusively through I'm mating Bond and Link.
The consent in the story while technically there is dubious at times and can pull you out of the story if you're not into that kind of Grey eroticism.

if you don't mind that you're probably going to really enjoy the story it is fun and intense easy to follow the plot concept is fun.
The female heroine wall badass is neutered by the general theme and concept which I think is a real waste we're presented with a female heroine who's capable of taking down Alphas by herself on a regular basis enough that she's generated the ire I'm a council of shifters. but then everything that she builds and presence is all terrorized by one guy showing up which is kind of a waste currently I don't think this is a story I would pay to listen to or read ever again I might end up returning it but I will give it a bit of time and where I accidentally got the second book first I will give that book a chance to see if it redeems the first.

I don't think the couple's Happy by the end of the story to be completely honest she still ashamed of her man and that's a concern
